Soho Lounge was born after an inspirational trip to the United States in 2008. After visiting New York, particularly South Houston Street (SoHo), it filled us with ideas to create a venue that was unique to Hull. This area of New York is all about fashionable people, chic bars, loft apartments, art galleries and an all round stylish vibe. So after throwing around some ideas we created what the bar looks like today, a loft apartment style with dark woods, chesterfield sofas and a view of the night time skyline of NYC. Throw in a few ‘Banksy’ inspired canvas pictures and a chic looking bar was born.
Along with the look of the venue we also based our entertainment around this theme too with some stylish classic cocktails and funky music, creating an atmosphere like no other venue in the city. In recent years we have collaborated with many of the major nightclubs in Hull and become a pre-bar for both Pozition and The Sugarmill, selling tickets to weekly and one off events, so if you hear of an event going on in the city it is more than likely that you can buy your tickets from us. Our best feature by far is the atmosphere in SoHo, it is an intimate setting with around 180 capacity which more often than not is packed to the rafters. So if you’re on a night out round Hull come and raise the roof with us!!! |
